Gretchen Schlesinger worked in publishing for more than ten years. She has published many short stories and articles prior to her Send Me the Soap series. Gretchen lives in Illinois, with her husband, two sons and puppy. Her favorite (kids) movies are Sky High, and Something Wicked This Way Comes. Her favorite books growing up were the Nancy Drew Mysteries. Her all-time favorite picture book is, A Bad Case of Stripes (David Shannon)—an amazing book about being your true self.

David Pietila is an illustrator as well as an animator. He has worked on many animated shows including “Magic School Bus”, “Rescue Heroes” for Nelvana, "Iggy Arbuckle" for C.O.R.E. Digital, as well as “The Ripping Friends” for Fox TV.

He is equally superior using pencil, brush or pen. David’s greatest specialty is the ability to bring a story and its characters to life. He and his family, live in Ontario, Canada.
